Phoenyx started in 1965 with David Halloway and the Anderson brothers, and picked up Alxander Forester by 1966. From there, they finsiihed college in New York, and picked up and moved to California for the iterim and found jobs. They played hard and worked at it, adn were finally picked up after aquiring guitarist James Michaelson. Their first album, Phoenyx was a good attempt, but many people apssed it over, and their only single fomr it barely even scraped the charts. Their following outings gradually grew stronger, but there was trouble in the water as David adn james were increasingly clashing over how Phoenyx should go, and Alexander was often in the middle of the fights offstage and in the studio. Finally a decision was reached by the other three members not in the fight; Erick determined that oen fot he two had to go. Having known David much longer, they kicked James out - thogh he claimed it was mutual agreement, and they went in search fo anew guitarist even as their latest single took off.
Johnathan Riverfield meanwhile ahd been making a name for himself in the southern region, and after a llttle talk, some coersion, and a bit of showing off, he was in the fold of Phoenyx. He joined in the nick of time, as Phoenyx was beginnign to take off, adn with the combied forces of Halloway, Forester and Riverfield's writing and musical abilities of all five, they blazed a trail far adn wide. All was not well though, as the further they went, the more problems began to occur, starting with David and ending with Johnathan. David began disagreeing with many thigns he hadn't before, had problems focusing offstage, and secretly began also taking drugs - although this would not come to light until the autopsy on his overdose of medicines the night of the last show supporting Winterstorm.
Johnathan and David had been in another fight, very serious and Johnathan had stormed out of David's room. When he went back to apologize, David was dead. This crushed Johnathan severely and affected the rest of the band greatly. The band went on after coping, picking up Devin Steele though, but RIverfield was unable to continue, needing to escape the reminders for awhile. As Johnathan persued a solo carerr, Phoenix got together with Kevin Winters, whom Riverfield recommended after remembering him open for them, and recorded on and off. Finally, in 1998 phonecalls were made, and Phoenyx was back together for a new album - Riverfiend back in while Winters persued a solo gig - titled Rebirth. It was currently in progress, and that's where everything begins.
